I bought a very well-spec'd X240 on closeout at a super price. It has 180GB SSD, 8GB RAM, fingerprint reader and the IPS (non-touch) display for 0. Only problem is that I need a smart card reader and hate USB add-ons when a built-in solution is available.
If you get a smartcard reader, make sure you also have a dummy card for it. Filling that laptop space with the cardreader will prevent unnecessary flexing of palmrest and/or chassis. Your X230 and W530 have the card reader onboard, AFAIK, whereas the T430s has it as an ExpressCard adapter - this may affect the default power and plug/unplug policies that Windows applies to it. I figure there may be a bluetooth board or something with NFC if I coreboot and do the whitelist removal mod, but I'm not sure. Part of my use case if I'm looking at it for NFC-enabled smart cards.
