In this paper prototype design of microcontroller based attendance system using RFID and GSM has been presented. The system automatically update the attendance in the database, sends SMS to the parents of the student who are absent, doesn’t provide entry to the late comers, take care in endance. The system also has been provided The aim of this project is to design an RFID Technology based Attendance System using 8051 microcontroller, in which the attendance of students or employees is automatically recorded with the swipe of a card.
