As i understand HP MFP's do support Access Control via USB Smart Card reader. Has anyone installed such a solution and can provide any feedback on how it set up in connection to AD ? Thanks in advance. When I insert card, the reader recognize it and I can use my it normaly, with the software I supose to. After I eject the card and put it back again, the reader is not responding. I tried this with 4 different types of cards and it is the same scenario.
With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer and also unplug the power cord from the wall outlet. Remove USB cable, if present. Wait for 2-3 minutes, press and hold the power button on your printer for about 30 seconds to remove any additional charge.
